ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Monday brushed aside media reports about reshuffling in the Cabinet, and asked media to demonstrate responsibility in its reporting.

In a tweet, Fawad Chaudhry said that no truth lies in media reports regarding the change of portfolio of government ministers.

The information minister said that it is the prerogative of the prime minister to make a reshuffling in the Cabinet.

The minister said that the media should demonstrate responsibility as the Country is passing through a critical time and such speculations won’t serve the Country.

Earlier media reports stated that five federal ministers including Asad Umar, Ghulam Sarwar Khan and Shahryar Afridi are being removed from their positions.

Citing sources media reports stated that Asad Umar is being assigned the portfolio of Petroleum Ministry while Ghulam Sarwar Khan is being removed. Likewise, Shahryar Afridi is being replaced by Ejaz Shah in the Interior Ministry.
