“Dear Ukrainians, Muslim brothers and sisters, I congratulate you on the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan … This Ramadan falls on difficult times, but everything that happens to us is not an accident. Maybe the Almighty gives us time to think about what is important and what is not in our lives. God teaches us humility and patience,” Jamala said who is winner of the 61st Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

Susana Alimivna Jamaladinova aka Jamala made her first professional recording at the age of nine, singing folk and children’s Crimean Tatar songs. While Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba says:

“It is impossible to imagine a country without its indigenous people – Crimean Tatars. Today we are all fighting for our home, and especially for the return of Crimea. I want to turn separately to the families of Ukrainian political prisoners, most of whom are Crimean Tatars, we care about your pain, we are doing everything to bring your relatives home so that you can meet Ramadan in the circle of relatives and friends,” Kuleba said.
