Landa Bazaar
Landa Bazar is an old but really famous drama serial written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. It was so popular that in 2017 its sequel was aired on Aplus which was also written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. This sequel was titled as ‘Laal Ishq’. Some of the cast members were the same as Landa Bazar while there were some new characters as well. Landa Bazar had variety of characters and it had some big names in the leading cast. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar also acted in Landa Bazar. His son played one of the leading roles in the sequel Laal Ishq.
Boota from Toba Tek Singh
Boota from Toba Tek Singh went on air in 1999 while gaining much popularity. It was aired by Pakistan Television Corporation in Urdu language and had a total of 22 TV episodes. It was written by Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar, directed by Dilawar Malik. The story revolves around a character Boota Faisal Qureshi who belongs to Toba Tek Singh and is the only son of a landlord. He is a mischievous fellow who has failed to do well in school. However, Boota changes overnight when he falls in love with Mahru Farah Shah.
Pyaray Afzal
Another blockbuster drama by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar was Pyaray Afzal. It was an emotional love story with characters which were loved by the viewers. Pyare Afzal got so famous that its last episode was aired in cinemas. Like many other dramas written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, this one too was based on a true story.
Sadqay Tumhare
Sadqay Tumhare is another award-winning drama written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar which got fame for the unique yet traditional love story. The main cast of this drama included Mahira Khan and Adnan Malik and this couple simply rocked it. Sadqay Tumhare was based on Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s own life story. When Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar was given the best writer award for Sadqay Tumhare, he shared that everything he showed in that serial was 100 per cent based on the true story.
Mere Paas Tum Ho
