LAHORE: The three-day 5th Alhamra International Conference began with its theme ‘Beetay Hoye Din Yaad Aatay Hein’ in Lahore on Saturday under the auspices of the Lahore Arts Council.

The Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the conference in which intellectuals, cultural and literary figures from Pakistan and India are participating.

In the inaugural session, the dignitaries threw light on their personal and professional past experiences as a guidelines for the youth.

On the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif quoted some incidents from his youth when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and he used to play cricket. He also mentioned the chairman of the board of governors of the council Attaul Haq Qasmi’s passion for traditional food, terming it Khaba.

There will be a food court and lots of entertainment while evenings will feature famous artists like Tina Sani, Nighat Chaudhry and many more.
