MUMBAI: Our Dabangg Film star Salman Khan is all set for his Marathi film, alongside Riteish Deskhmukh

Salman Khan will make his acting debut in the Marathi film industry with the film, Lai Bhaari. The film, directed by National Award winning director Nishikant Kamat has Riteish Deshmukh (who produced a Marathi film ‘Balak Palak’ earlier this year) in the lead.

Director Kamat confirmed that Sallu has a special appearance in Lai Bhaari and has already shot for three days in Hyderabad for the film. The film is scheduled to release in December 2013. Though Kamat didn’t reveal more, our secret birdie tells us that Salman will play the role of a typical Maharashtrian guy. Now, we’d like that!

Did you know? Salman Khan started his B-town journey with a supporting role in the film Biwi Ho To Aisi, before establishing himself in Bollywood. We wonder if his cameo in Lai Bhaari is just the beginning of his career in the Marathi film industry… We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
