Like every year except 2020, HUM bridal couture week is organized as one of the biggest events to exhibit new trends of bridal wear with the best creativity by different designers. The fancy colours spreading around the pleasurable feel of new beginnings are portrayed in a way that shows how the designers devotedly work to make weddings special all the way. From bridal showers to Mayon, mehndi events to baraat and then walima, the bridal wears are as a symbol of festivity at all of these events.
Well…this is the first major fashion week that took place in a physical space after the country has been struggling through COVID-19. PHBCW showcased latest designs of bridal couture bringing revolutionary creativity. Maya Ali looks stunning and elegant in this white dress unveiling Pantene’s new bottle by exhibiting under open hair days campaign.
Fahad Hussayn presented a collection of custom-made woven Banarsi bridal dresses with Sao Banjara – The Couture Edit. It represented an interdisciplinary fashion blended with art while using silk thread embroideries interwoven with delicate handwork.
Uniworth Dress Co. presented its signature men’s collection that presents a modern outlook. It featured sherwanis, waistcoats, and some of the exquisite work on luxurious fabrics. The brand also celebrated its golden-jubilee anniversary with this fantastic exhibition.
Nauman and Bhaiya made a debut in PHBCW with a collection of creatively designed lehengas in fascinating hues. The designer specifically worked on reviving the style of the 90s era, the foil silk lehngas.
Alishba & Nabeel exhibited Sakhiyan as a tribute to all the bridesmaids who add beautiful colours, appealing styles and memories to a wedding.
Haris Shakeel’s collection Ghazal was the true depiction of poetry in hues. These bridal wears had gota work and his signature block print designs, representing festivities of our culture.
Naushad Imdad’s Subh-e-Nau showcased Pak-Western culture and is designed for the 21st-century men.
Madeeha Shoaib unveiled her signature collection, The Enchanted Island for the first time in Pakistan.
Munib Nawaz’s collection paid tribute to Ameer Khusro’s famous poem Sakal Ban. Usman Mukhtar has stolen the show with his traditional yet elegant looks.
