ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Lok Virsa will arrange an open performance of those accepted in the singing auditions at Open Mic, a new programme recently started by Lok Virsa to hunt new talent.

Talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad, the Executive Director Lok Virsa Dr. Fouzia Saeed said that anyone who has singing talent can perform at Lok Virsa Open Mic auditions arranged every Thursday.

She said that every Thursday a Committee selects singers in the auditions and every Sunday there will be an open performance of those accepted in the auditions.

Ms Naeem Fatima is the coordinator for the programme.

Talking to the news agency, she said that number of talented singers had applied for the Open Mic auditions which would be invited for performance.

She said that there is no age limit for the participants and anybody can join Open Mic singing auditions.

Lok Virsa to screen film “Little Miss Sunshine” on Saturday

Meanwhile, Lok Virsa Mandwa Film Club will screen its next International classic film “Little Miss Sunshine” on Saturday at Media Centre.

Little Miss Sunshine is a 2006 American comedy-drama road film and the directorial debut of the husband-wife team of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.

The screenplay was written by first-time writer Michael Arndt. The film stars Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Paul Dano, Abigail Breslin and Alan Arkin, and was produced by Big Beach Films.
