ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) would organize an open performance of new talented singers at its food court on Sunday.

The new talented singers were selected during Open Mic audition a talent hunt project of Lok Virsa.

The coordinator for the program Naeem Fatima said that our nation is very talented and Lok Virsa wants to facilitate bringing out good singers.

“We want to reclaim our creative spaces and bring back creative expression into our lives,” she said.

Naeem Fatima said that all those who think they have the talent of singing can contact us.

“Every Thursday a Committee will have auditions at Lok Virsa and every Sunday there will be an open performance of those accepted in the auditions by Lok Virsa’s food court.

Mandwa Film Club to screen film ‘Same Love Same Rain’

Meanwhile, Mandwa Film Club of Lok Virsa will organize screening of Argentine-American film ‘Same Love Same Rain’ on Saturday at its media center.

It is a 1999 romantic comedy film directed by Juan Jos‚ Campanella and written by Campanella and Fernando Castets.

It stars Ricardo Dar¡n, Soledad Villamil, Ulises Dumont and Eduardo Blanco.

The film is the first of a trilogy that follows protagonist (Ricardo Dar¡n) and his best friend (Eduardo Blanco) through a series of reevaluations regarding their lives.

The films include: El hijo de la novia (2001) and Luna de Avellaneda (2004).

The film won several awards including Valladolid International Film Festival award and Argentine Film Critics Association Award.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
