The annual two-day Lahooti Melo 2018 – a festival to talk music, dance, poetry & arts – will be organized in Hyderabad, Sindh on March 3-4, 2018.

It is the third edition of Lahooti Melo – the first two being held in 2016 and 2017 respectively – which will mesmerize the audience with spectacular and enthralling performances. 

Lahooti – a brainchild of Saif Samejo who founded the Sufi Rock band The Sketches – aims to promote indigenous musicians and musical instruments.

Lahooti Melo 2018 will include multiple sessions and performances as except workshops and panel sessions, artists from across Pakistan will showcase their talent with traditional and modern musical instruments.

Besides Saif Samejo’s The Sketches; Humera Channa, Abid Brohi, Abbas Ali Khan, Aaroh, Shayma Syed, Shoukat Fakir, Rashid Hyderi, Bhittai Ja Fakir, Akbar Khamiso Khan, Sheedi Group, Umesh Pandit (Fute), Taj Mastani (Folk), Rafiq Fakir (Classical Folk), Shafi Fakir (Classical Folk), Maliha (Pop/ Sufi), Aijaz (Naghara Player), Rajab Fakir, Dreen Anwar (Folk, Pop, Middle Eastern), Zulfiqar Fakir (Boreendo), Bhagat Bhooro Lal (Folk), Hyder Ali (Sufi/Pop/Rock), Marval Group (Folk), Shakoor Fakir (Kamacho), Shamu Bai (Folk), Sikandar (Guitarist), Tahir Mithu (Folk), Peiling (Shah Jo Raag), Hassnain Mahar (Pop/Rock), Mai Dhai (Folk), Sattar Jogi (Been), Ob Positive (Pop/Rock), Alicia Dias (Pop/Rock) and artists from Gilgit-Baltistan will perform at Lahooti Melo 2018.

Ukraine to receive 500,000 artillery shells by yearend from Czech Republic Monitoring Desk: In dire need to counter Russian aggression, Ukraine will receive 500,000 shells of various calibers by the end of this year from Czech Republic, reports Ukrinform. Referring to announcement of Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, Ukrinform reports that Czech Republic will continue to provide support to Ukraine to repel and stop Russian aggression. "As you know, my country has launched an initiative on ammunition. By the end of the year, 500,000 large-caliber shells will be delivered. We will not stop there. We will continue to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary support," the Czech Foreign Minister emphasized.
