Featuring Ali Sethi and Humaira Arshad, Coke Studio 11 Song “Luddi Hai Jamalo” has been released in Episode 8.
It’s the remake of traditional “Luddi Hai Jamalo” which was originally sung by legendary Noor Jehan, and now has been replicated by iconic duo of Ali Sethi and Humaria Arshad.
The classical song has recreated by combining Punjabi folk with a disco sensibility.
Backing vocals, dholak beats with a twist of disco and the entire arrangement of melody are beautifully crafted. The iconic track still holds the charm to mesmerize the listener.
Youngest daughter of Noor Jehan, Nazia Ejaz talked about the remake of her mother’s track and reacted on the reformation of “Luddi Hai Jamalo”.
Nazia Ejaz said “I am very happy that Coke Studio did this and took on the iconic Luddi Hai Jamalo. “I really want my mother’s songs to be sung so that our youth get to know them,” she further said adding that she is happy that this has happened and absolutely supports this venture.
