This announcement was done at Arabian Travel Market by Dubai Municipality. The Chief Executive Officer of the Public Facilities at Dubai Municipality (DM) said, “So, when tourists go around the city during the day, they miss out on being able to enjoy the beach, because after sunset swimming is not allowed. We wanted to give them an opportunity to enjoy this part of Dubai. That is why we are beginning the nighttime beach swimming facility.”

He also added, “There are also LED screens with directions and instructions on what to do. These screens have already been installed and they will begin operating shortly.” The preparations are already started to make the experience better for the visitors. While providing recreation, the authorities are also concerned about the safety of the swimmers. Therefore, they are going to recruit 84 lifeguards, water rescue bikes, and other rescue equipment.

It is good news for all the tourists who are sick of the scorching heat of the day. But, this night swimming in Dubai will let them freely enjoy the cool breezes as well as the refreshing water of the sea. This initiative has made Dubai the first Emirate in UAE to allow Night swimming officially.

Night swimming is not allowed on the beaches in Dubai due to several safety concerns. So, come and enjoy it at Umm Suqeim and Al-Mazmar. For more fun activities, check out:
