ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad (QAU) on Friday in its important meeting has decided to file a separate petition at Islamabad High Court (IHC) and to become party at Supreme Court of Pakistan over QAU land issue. 

The meeting was presided over by Sikandar Ahmed Rai President QAU Alumni Association and attended by members of Joint Action, office bearers of QAU, Academic Staff Association, Employees Association and Alumni Association.

The participants deliberated over latest developments regarding fresh demarcation of QAU land, end of illegal occupation and legal proceeding related to the matter.

While addressing on the occasion, President QAU Alumni Association, Sikandar Ahmed Rai said that all the stakeholders of QAU Islamabad have a unified stance over end of illegal occupation of QAU land.

They would continue their struggle till the resolution of the issue. He extended thanks to members of joint action committee for their untiring efforts to protect the precious land of their alma mater.  He especially appreciated contribution of secretary general QAU Alumni Association, Murtaza Noor in this regard.

It was also resolved to condemn deliberate campaign to defame top ranked university of Pakistan in guise of narcotics.
