ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has initiated need based scholarship programme to provide financial support to Pakistani talented student.
The students who have reasonably good academic record but are unable to take up higher education just because of financial constraints are eligible for HEC scholarship, said an official of HEC.
Talking to media, on Monday, he said scholarships are based on assessment of need and merit and selection will be made on the basis of provided information on prescribed form after due authentication.
Scholarship stipend will be Rs. 6000 per month plus tuition fee.
Scholarships will awarded to those students who are presently enrolled in academic session 2015-16, he said.
To a question, he said scholarships are available for only morning students who are enrolled in 1st semester in session 2015-16 in DVM, Pharm-D, all BS (Hons) and all M.Sc. degree/programs at UVAS.
The students who have family income less than or equal to Rs. 30,000 per month are eligible to apply for scholarship.
