ISLAMABAD, Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and Department of Commerce and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) inked a MoU for exchange of their research work and professional experiences.

The agreement was signed by the Registrar AIOU Dr. Muhammad Naeem Qureshi and President ICMAP Kashif Mateen Ansari here on Saturday.

Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Prof. Dr. Syed Abdul Siraj and Chairman Department of Commerce AIOU Dr. Syed Muhammad Amir Shah were also present on this occasion.

The MoU offers an opportunity to both institutions to exchange their research projects and publication for the overall benefits of the students, said a news release.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui hoped that it will benefit students of both the educational institutions as well as promoting culture of community-based research.

AIOU has recently reached agreements with a various national and international institutions for mutual collaboration in the field of research and innovation. He underlined need of making research relevant to social-economic problems.
