ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Monday approved four major road infrastructure projects in Punjab costing Rs 130 billion.

In a statement on Twitter, the Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar told that the ECNEC in its meeting held in Islamabad accorded approval to Kamalia-Shorkot-Chowk Azam-Layyah Road, Hasilpur-Bahawalnagar Road, Vehari-Pakpattan-Depalpur Road, and Shorkot-Jhang Road.

Besides, according to Asad Umar, the ECNEC also approved the clean water and sanitation project worth Rs 96 billion for rural areas of South Punjab’s 16 tehsils.
