BEIJING, China: In connection with Kashmir Black Day, an event was organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing on Friday, which was attended by a large number of members of Pakistani community, academics, teachers and the people from all walks of life.
The event was Co-hosted by Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB).
In his address, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Masood Khalid paid tributes to the just and fair struggle of the Kashmiri People. He said that the purpose of observing this day is not only to highlight the plight of Kashmiri people but to revive the memory of the Black Day when Indian forces illegally occupied Kashmir.

Masood Khalid observed that India never fulfilled its promise of holding a plebiscite in Kashmir, despite numerous resolutions passed by the UN Security Council making Kashmir issue one of the oldest unresolved disputes in the World.
The ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan’s unflinching diplomatic, moral and political support to the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people and urged the international community to fulfill its promise to them in securing their right of self-determination.
In her address, the Principal of Pakistan Embassy College Beijing Shazia Amjad traced the historical background of the Kashmir issue.
In the event, a documentary showcasing Kashmir issue generated great interest amongst the audience.
Students also spoke on Kashmir issue followed by a tableau on Kashmir, performed by the students which evoked strong emotional response from the audience.
