ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri has tendered his resignation.

The resignation was received by the National Assembly’s Secretary Office on Saturday.

   

Qasim Khan Suri was faced with a No Confidence Motion which was on the agenda of the National Assembly’s today Session.

Meanwhile, the election of the new Speaker National Assembly and oath taking of Speaker-elect will take place today.

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will most likely be elected as the Speaker National Assembly unopposed.
