Quetta, Pakistan: Former prime minister Imran Khan has decided to serve notices to media outlets that will release news about the First Information Report (FIR) registered against him on the application of the son of murdered Lawyer Abdul Razzaq in Quetta.
According to available information, Imran Khan has directed his legal team to follow news items and serve defamation notices to every news outlet that reports about an FIR registered against him on the application of the son of murdered Lawyer Abdul Razzaq in Quetta.
Sirajuddin has nominated Imran Khan in the murder case of his father claiming his deceased father informed him the night before his murder that he was receiving threatening calls to withdraw the application against Imran Khan
Meanwhile, the preliminary data from law enforcement agencies probing the murder case of lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar indicated that the murder was well-planned, targeted, and executed in a highly professional way therefore the possibility of involvement of TTP cannot be ruled out that executes ransoms and murders for payments.
It may be remembered that the son of the deceased had lodged an FIR at police station Shaheed Jameel Kakar against former prime minister Imran Khan because the killed lawyer was a petitioner seeking registration of a high treason case against Imran Khan. Former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Amanullah Kanrani Advocate was the council of Abdul Razzaq Shar in his application for registration of high treason case against Imran Khan, therefore, Kanrani demanded the formation of JIT in this case, calling it high profile target killing of Razzaq Shar who dared to demand registration of high treason case against a former prime minister.
Law enforcement agencies are collecting data through geo-fencing and are questioning several persons present at the crime scene or nearby locations.
Amanullah Kanrani Advocate had demanded the formation of the JIT stating that police investigation was not enough to investigate this high-profile case rather a JIT should be formed to review all aspects in this regard. Razzaq Shar was killed while on his way to court for an important hearing in the Balochistan High Court (BHC) when killers sprayed 10 bullets on his car and he died instantly.
On June 10, 2023, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Ghulam Azfar Maehsar wrote a letter to the provincial government to form a JIT to probe into the killing of the lawyer.
It is pertinent to mention that son of Razzaq Shar, Sirajuddin nominated the former prime minister, Imran Khan in the murder case of his father claiming his deceased father informed him the night before his murder that he (Razzaq Shar) was receiving threatening calls to withdraw the application against former prime minister Imran Khan otherwise he would be killed before the hearing of the case that was fixed a day after the lawyer was killed.

PMLN leader Attaullah Tarar held a press conference and claimed that former prime minister Imran Khan had planned to notify him worth 10 billion rupees for defamation because he (Attaullah Tarar) was raising the issue of the murder of Lawyer Razzaq in the media.
