COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan soar to 48,091

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: With 2,193 more Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cases in the last 24 hours, the number of patients having been infected by the virus in Pakistan has soared to 48,091.

To date, a total of 429,600 tests including 15,346 on May 20 have been conducted throughout Pakistan.

   

The results found 48,091 people positive, of them 1,017 have lost their life while 14,155 have got recovered now.

The Sindh province has well surpassed Punjab, and so far recorded 18,964 Coronavirus Cases.

Out of them, 316 patients have succumbed to their disease whereas 5,645 have recovered.

In Punjab, 17,382 people have been diagnosed with the virus, 297 of them have died while 5,112 have recovered.

Moreover, 6,815 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,968 in Balochistan, 579 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 1,235 in Islamabad, and 148 in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

The most number of deaths have occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wherein 351 COVID-19 patients have died followed by Punjab and Sindh.

So far 38 patients have died in Balochistan, 4 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 10 in Islamabad, and 1 in AJK.

As per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 10,900 patients are currently admitted in various hospitals and COVID-19 facilities across the Country, and 350 of them are in critical condition.
