The ever-increasing demand for cars, especially SUVs in Pakistan has given clues to the manufacturers to dig into this trending market. According to recent news, teasers, and market rumours, we can conclude that the following mid-range passenger vehicles will make their debut in Pakistan, probably in 2022. Let’s check out the list of upcoming cars in Pakistan.

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro

It is a mid-size 7-seater SUV crossover. It is equipped with some amazing drive support features that come in many trim levels and safety and convenience features vary with each trim. However, key features include Keyless Entry and Push Start, Cruise Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, modern infotainment systems with passenger airbags and other features. 

Assumptions are that the Tiggo 8 features and functionality offered in Pakistan will be priced at Rs 6.5 million and Rs 7.8 million. This is likely to be a strong contender in the Pakistani market. 

Peugeot 

In collaboration with Lucky Motors, Peugeot is going to make its debut in Pakistan. Following is the list of upcoming mid-range SUVs in Pakistan this year.

Peugeot 3008

Peugeot vehicles are going to launch Peugeot 3008 this year, which is a C-segment compact crossover SUV. The manufacturers have produced Peugeot 3008 with a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 162 horsepower (hp) and 240 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, which is sent on the front wheels or four wheels (depending on the variable). It has a 6-Speed ​​through an automatic gearbox. It competes with Kia Sportage, MG HS, Hyundai Tucson, DFSK Glory 580, Proton X70, and Toyota Corolla Cross. 

The company has not confirmed the launch and price date yet. But 3008 will be launched at 6.5 million of the price range.

Peugeot 5008

Peugeot 5008 is a 7-seater crossover SUV and it will be offered with a powertrain similar to the 3008: a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 162 hp and 240 Nm of torque, which can be used to drive the front wheels or all four wheels (depending on the variant) through a 6-Speed ​​automatic transmission. The 5008 will be contested for insufficient space. If and when it is launched in Pakistan, as it is likely to fall between Rs. 7.3 million and Rs. 8.5 million in terms of value. 

Changan Oshan X7 Plus

Recently, Changan unveiled Oshan X7 Plus with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces 178 hp and 300 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission.  

Speaking of features, it has adaptive cruise control, ESC, traction control, ABS brakes with EBD and BA technology, lane departure warning and keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, etc. Changan Oshan X7 Plus price in Pakistan is Rs. 8 million. 

Honda Civic 11th generation

The unit imported in Pakistan has a familiar turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 182 hp and 240 Nm of torque. In the international market, the Civic is also offered with the naturally aspiring engine. It consists of  2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 158 hp and 187 Nm of torque. Both the power plants are paired with CVT automatic transmission. While the various variants of Si and Type R offered in international markets have 6-speed manual gearboxes. 

The Honda Civic 11th generation test unit was imported for Rs. 6,490,000 according to registration details. However, this may not be the right price. The expected price of the upcoming model could be close to Rs. 5,500,000. 

MG Vehicle

MG Vehicle has been instrumental in the development of new cars and has met the demands of its customers. And now two more cars are ready to launch. 

MG GT

The news of the upcoming arrival of the MG GT has been welcomed by the people, which convinces us that a great new sedan will be launched this year. It is a segment compact sedan that will compete with Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, and Hyundai Elantra. The MG GT will likely be offered with two engine options: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 119 hp and 135 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 173 hp and 230 Nm torque. 

The vehicle’s starting price is 4million and above. 

MG RX8

It is also a mid-sized 7-seater SUV that competes Kia Sorento, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Mazda CX-9 SUV. It is a fully loaded Four Wheel Drive (4WD) SUV that sits on a ladder frame chassis and is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 224 hp and 360 Nm of torque and is rated at 6-speed.

Like other MG vehicles, the RX8 has all advanced safety and amenities such as 6 airbags, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, ESC, Traction Control, Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Collision Warning, and Other high Technology facilities as part of the MG pilot package. 

The car has been tampered with for a fair and is likely to cost around Rs 8.5 million in Pakistan this year.

These are the speculations about the list of upcoming cars in Pakistan 2022. But, the companies have not revealed their launch dates in Pakistan. There are likely to appear in 2022.
