In a Pre-Match Press Conference held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Azhar Ali said that the players are upbeat about the Test Series against Sri Lanka.

Azhar Ali said that Srilankans are not an easy side as they are very disciplined, and Pakistani players will have to perform to the best of their abilities to outclass the visitors in the ground.

In his remarks at the Press Conference, the Sri Lankan Captain Dimuth Karunaratne said that they are in Pakistan to play a good Cricket. He said that Rawalpindi has a good pace wicket and they will try to get the maximum from the conditions.

Along with the Press Conference addressed by the two Captains, the Trophy Unveiling Ceremony also took place at the venue.

Meanwhile, both the teams held their separate practice sessions. The legendary batsman Javed Miandad also visited the Pindi Stadium and gave useful tips to Pakistani batsmen. Javed Miandad also interacted with Pakistan Fielding Coach Grant Bradburn.

Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka have so far been face to face 53 times in Test Cricket from 1982 to 2017. Of them, 19 were won by Pakistan and 16 by Sri Lanka while 18 Test matches ended in draw.
