ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s exports to its neighbouring Countries has surged significantly in the First Quarter of the Financial Year 2021-22.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Prime Minister’s Adviser for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said that the Ministry of Commerce’s focus on the Regional Connectivity to increase trade with our neighbours is beginning to show results.

The adviser said that during the First Quarter of the FY 2021-22, Pakistan’s exports to China, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and the Central Asian Republics grew by 35% to US$ 938 million as compared to US$ 694 million in the first quarter of the last financial year.

Abdul Razak Dawood encouraged Pakistan’s exporters to aggressively market their products in the regional markets to increase their exports.

Earlier on October 25, the adviser also told that Pakistan’s exports of Information Technology & IT-Enabled Service (ITeS) increased to US$ 635 million from July to September 2022 compared to the exports value of the last year which stood at US$ 445 million, showing an increase of 42% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth.
