The holy month of Ramadan commenced on April 2, 2022, in the UAE. According to the lunar cycle, Ramadan 1433 Hijri Year is expected to last for 30 days, and Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to fall on Monday, May 2, 2022.

The eid holidays are paid holidays for both public and private sector employees.

What is Eid-ul-Fitr?

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the month-long fasting from dawn to sunset in the holy month of Ramadan. It is celebrated for 1 to 3 days around the world. Ramadan is one of the most important months in the Islamic calendar.

Eid rounds off the month of Ramadan to acknowledge Allah’s revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. The month serves as a great reminder to the Muslims to be grateful for everything and share what they have with the less fortunate. At the end of the holy month, Muslims celebrate and gather with friends and family to show gratitude toward Allah.

Muslims gather on the day of Eid to offer the eid namaz and begin the day with greetings. From good food, clothing, gathering, and savoring to planning vacations, Eid is about everything.
