Hareem Shah – a controversial Pakistani TikTok star – has announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

As per a Twitter account named after Hareem Shah, she has parted away with the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and shifted her allegiance to PML-N.

“I Hareem Shah, as an activist of PTI I am no longer a part of it, and I announce my affiliation with PML-N,” she said.

However, the authenticity of the mentioned twitter account remains unascertained.

The 29-year-old Hareem Shah rose to the limelight in a very short span of time for her controversial videos on TikTok, a video-sharing social networking app, and pictures with politicians.

Involved in earth-shattering scandals, she claims to have many dirty secrets of major personalities of Pakistan, most prominently incumbent ministers, and will indefinitely expose them all. She has become a controversial figure like Qandeel Baloch.

The videos and photos of several PTI leaders are believed to have gone viral with Harim Shah, which has been hitting the social media. It should be noted that the real identity of Hareem Shah is made up of videos with PTI leaders. Just because of these controversies, a series of complaints were made to ban the video-sharing app.

Hundreds of complaints have so far been made to ban TikTok in Pakistan especially after scandals involving Hareem Shah and her friend Sundal Khattak. There have been requests to ban the app and platform in Pakistan several times including a petition filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC); however, it has been revealed by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) that it currently has no plans to ban TikTok.

According to PTA, more than 500 complaints have been received to ban TikTok in Pakistan; however, the authority says that the TikTok has been collaborating with them, so they don’t plan on banning the video-sharing app.

Recently she decided to take refuge in Canada because of the threats she had been receiving but before she could go there, Both TikTok stars – Hareem and Sundal – were seen in videos partying with Sheikhs and other well-known personalities in Dubai. However, she was deported, and reports say that their activities in Dubai with the locals were part of the reason, they were deported back to Pakistan.
