LAHORE, Pakistan: The Former President and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday said that they would not back down from their four demands, and give tough time to the federal government.

“We will not back down from our demands,” Zardari said while talking to the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari via telephone during which they agreed to give tough time to the government on demands of national interest.

Zardari said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led federal government was playing game with national interest.

Meanwhile, PPP’s public rally led by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari began from Bilawal House in Lahore towards Faisalabad.

During the rally, Bilawal Bhutto would make short addresses to the workers at various locations while the main speech would be delivered in Faisalabad.

Talking to the media, PPP’s Central Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira said that this rally would have significant role in the current party’s movement.

Kaira said that the rally would reach Sheikhupura Road via Faizpur Interchange on the way from Motorway. Thus, he added, the rally would enter Faisalabad after touching Nankana Sahib.

For PPP’s public rally, camps were also set up at Nankana Sahib, Feroze Wattwan and Manawala to welcome Bilawal.

The rally would enter Faisalabad from Kharianwala and would conclude at District Council Hall where PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto would deliver a concluding address to the gathering.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Police made strict security arrangements for the PPP’s rally and about 3,000 personnel were deployed at various places of Lahore.

On the other hand, additional wardens were also deployed for ensuring smooth flow of traffic.
