Ayesha Omar Talks About Being Bold & Her Traumatic Past

There is a lot that she revealed to the audience that people didn’t know about her. Read up to find out:

Ayesha Omar Believes In Being Bold Than Scared

Mira Sethi asked Ayesha Omar how she has always been labeled as ‘bold’ considering the term is considered somewhat of a bad thing in society. To it, she brilliantly replied:

“Our society is patriarchal. The norm here is that the females have to be suppressed, they shouldn’t be confident, or self-assured… this is the mindset I observed while growing up in Pakistan.

“Women shouldn’t be outspoken and confident here. Now bold means being confident, brave, outspoken, or to speak your mind… this goes against the typical mindset; hence it is taken negatively.”

She further said that no matter what people say or believe I will always be bold rather than being scared.

She Talks About Her Traumatic Past

Ayesha Omar also shared about the time she was in Karachi, and her father passed away. She was less than two-year-old, and her paternal family took away all the shares her father held in a construction company, leaving her mother with nothing. She says that the fact she speaks a lot about women’s rights and stands up for them stems from the experience her mother had to go through. Her mom didn’t know better and just wanted to make sure her children got the best education. This is why they moved to Lahore because of their maternal family.

Her mother was a self-confident woman and wanted to raise them on her terms, so she didn’t live with her family and raised them alone. Ayesha also said that her mother didn’t have enough money, and she, fortunately, got a merit scholarship in a grammar school. Moving on, she started painting and that is how she financed herself through college and supported her family.

Later she started getting acting offers and became so busy with it that she couldn’t get time to paint, because of strict schedules and studies.

She Also Shared Her Accident Details

Ayesha Omar also talked about how she had an accident around five years ago and broke multiple bones throughout the body. She said that the doctor was negligent back then and gave her a wrong sling which resulted in the bone gap more than before. The Tutti Frutti actress also revealed that there is still a bone gap and you can see it moving. She said that she can’t lift heavy things and do certain exercises. The new operation and healing will take around a year, so she isn’t sure when she can put in that amount of time.
