Sacrificing their Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, LEAs guaranteed a peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr to the nation Lahore, Pakistan: Sacrificing their Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) ensured a peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr celebration to the nation as over 300,000 personnel volunteered to stay on security duties instead of spending Eid-ul-Fitr holidays with their friends and families. Police, paramilitary forces, men in uniform of Pakistan Army and intelligence officials remain vigilant on their duties around the clock three days before Monday’s Eid-ul-Fitr and would continue for next three days. These are over and above of regular LEAs strength that was on duty as per their schedules. General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff; whose mother recently died in Ramzan; visited Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan to spend Eid-ul-Fitr with the officers and troops employed on the Western Border. He offered Eid prayers with his men in uniform. During his interaction, the COAS extended warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the troops, lauding their unwavering dedication and exemplary service to the nation. “Your commitment and resilience not only secure our homeland but also exemplify your profound love for Pakistan,” he stated. Pakistan’s LEAs are sacrificing their lives and trading martyrdom with their youth to protect the nation and even while living there are sacrificing their happiness to ensure security of their countrymen. It is the duty of the nation to laud them by acknowledging their sacrifices who are committed towards the greater cause of peace and stability in the country.
