LAHORE, Pakistan: The Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muddassir Riaz Malik has said that all Lahoris will be vaccinated against COVID-19 in six months.
Talking a Private News Channel on Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner Lahore said that they plan to vaccinate all dwellers of Lahore within six months and open as many Coronavirus Vaccination Centers as possible in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner Lahore also urged the people to follow anti-Corona Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and get themselves vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Muddassir Riaz Malik inaugurated another Vaccination Center for bank employees at Bank Alfalah located at Garden Town in Lahore.
“Our workforce is our asset who deal on the front line everywhere,” he said on the occasion. “We strive to open as many Vaccination Centers as possible so that everyone could be vaccinated within six months.”
Separately, the Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muddassir Riaz Malik also installed a Vaccination Centre at Lahore College for Women University.
Riaz Malik said that it is necessary to vaccinate teachers, students, and administrative staff in order to reopen the Education Sector of the Country. He said that Coronavirus guidelines are being strictly enforced across the City.
“District administration will continue its efforts to ensure the SOPs are enforced in the Provincial Capital,” he added.
Earlier on June 7, Pakistan’s first COVID Vaccination Drive-Through Facility became operational at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The facility was launched by the District Administration Lahore in collaboration with the Bank of Punjab.
In the facility, COVID-19 vaccines are being administered to the individuals inside the cars without the need of stepping out of their vehicles.
It’s worth noting that a total of 677 COVID-19 Vaccination Centres have so far been established in Punjab and 36 of them remain open 24 hours a day.
