Kabul, Afghanistan: Reports coming from Kabul suggest that negotiations are underway for a new setup in Afghanistan between the Taliban and the Coordinating Council of Ashraf Ghani.

The Coordinating Council of Ashraf Ghani is comprising of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme Council National Reconciliation, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar of Hezb-e-Islami Afghanistan, and former President Hamid Karzai. However, no official statement about this news came from Taliban media.

According to information spreading in political circles of Kabul, the formula for transfer of power is based on a bloodless transition period while the Taliban will keep maintaining law and order within Afghanistan, particularly in Kabul.
