KARACHI, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that acceptance of Kashmir as a disputed territory by the US President Donald Trump is a victory of Pakistan.

While addressing a News Conference in Karachi on Tuesday, Firdous Ashiq Awan welcomed the US president’s offer of medication on the Kashmir dispute, and said that Pakistan wants progress in this direction.

The special assistant said that Prime Minister Imran Khan effectively presented Pakistan’s narrative at his meetings with the US President Donald Trump held at the White House on July 22. She said that Imran Khan won the nation’s case as a peace-loving nation in his successful talks with the US president.

Dr Firdous said that it is a success of Pakistan that national interest was presented and protected at international level effectively.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Pakistan’s negative image has been turned into positive as the Country’s role in establishing peace in the region has been recognized by the US president. She said that the United States has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in the Afghan peace process, which is victory of the Pakistani leadership’s vision.
