Nawaz Sharif attending BRICS and SCO on July 9 in Ufa Russia

Moscow, Russia: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif will attend meetings of 7th summit of BRICS and SCO summit in Ufa Russia, reports Dispatch News Desk news agency.
The BRICS and SCO summits will take place on July 8-10 in Ufa. Russia expects the BRICS summit to trigger off the $100 billion BRICS New Development Bank and a currency reserve pool worth another $100 billion.

The meeting of Pakistani Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif is expected with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India has a tense relations with Pakistan again over counter-terrorism issues but both leaders have cordial personal relations.

According to Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) head office, Pakistani Foreign Office has confirmed participation of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif along with a foreign office delegation.
The SCO Summit in Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan) is very important event this year because this summit will accept or reject applications waiting for decision for full membership.
“We will consider applications submitted by a number of states, including India and Pakistan. Iran has also filed an application, and I hope that the progress on the Iranian nuclear programme will help us to consider it,” said According to Mr. Lavrov, the relevant criteria for aspiring members were approved at the 2014 SCO Summit in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). he said.
The 7th BRICS summit will discuss economic cooperation among members while the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit will discuss important regional issues particularly of security, politics, the economy and the humanitarian sphere. Pakistan is seeking full membership of SCO and its inclusion in BRICS also.
The SCO will be represented both by heads of member states and heads of observer states. The topic of the meeting, which will take the form of an open-ended discussion, is cooperation for prosperity and development.
Russia is hosting both events in a big way and the Central Bank of Russia issued 3-rouble commemorative silver coins for the July SCO and BRICS summits in Ufa on June 22, 2015.
The coin entitled “A Meeting of the SCO Heads of States Council in Ufa” will be 39 mm in diameter. The front will show the coin’s nominal value, the date of issuance and the embossed national emblem of the Russian Federation. The reverse side will have an embossed official emblem of the SCO above, colour images of the member states’ flags in the middle, and below, a stylised seven-petal Kurai flower, which is part of Bashkortostan’s national emblem and flag.
First and foremost the Ufa summit is an opportunity for Russia, which in 2014-2015 holds the rotating presidency of both the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS, to showcase its resilience.
