Islamabad, Pakistan: The Ministry of Water and Power has suspended Chief Executive Officer, Sukkar Electric Supply Company, Mr. Farman Ullah Khan and Director Commercial, Mr. Delawar Hussain Memon for their inefficiency and failure to achieve targets for improvement in recovery and controlling losses. According to an official statement issued here on Thursday, an increase of Rs. 425.90 million has been registered against private running defaulters during March 2015 and April 2015. Similarly the recovery percentage also remained quite blew than the assigned target of 100% and the Transmission and Distribution losses also remained high than the NEPRA permitted targets.

The Chief Executive Officer MEPCO, Mr. Muzaffar Abbasi has been given addition charge of SEPCO with targets to bring in improvements in recovery, reducing lines losses and taking effective measures against electricity theft.

It is worth noting that Government has been following uniform policy of distribution of electricity in the entire country based on percentage of losses on feeders.
