“Marking a huge success in operation Khyber 2, Security Forces have captured Terrorists strong holds Sandapal, Tordara, Kundwala and Mehrban Killay in Khyber Agency. During last 24 hours intense fighting took place. 27 terrorists were killed. 5 soldiers including an officer captain Ajmal embraced Shahadat,” said the press release issued by the ISPR.

Earlier on Tuesday, the security forces took control of the entire Sipah and Akkakhel areas in Khyber agency’s Tirah valley after flushing out Lashkar-i-Islam (LI) activists from these areas.

The official sources said that the control of Sipah and Akkakhel was so far the biggest achievement of the security forces during the ongoing Khyber Two military operation against joint forces of the outlawed LI, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jamaatul Ahrar.
