LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that all efforts will be made to make the country an epicenter of peace and tranquility.

In his address at the second passing out ceremony of the Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) in Lahore on Saturday morning, he said that all possible facilities and resources would be provided to it to make it more effective and stronger in the anti-terror combat.

The chief minister said that the entire political and military leadership is on the same page in countering terrorism.

Shahbaz Sharif said the government is set to transform every difficulty and disappointment into opportunity and the nation ought to forge unity in its ranks to curb the menace of terrorism.

The Punjab chief minister also thanked Turkey for extending its cooperation to Pakistan in formation of the CTF.

Moreover, he said that Pakistan is presently standing on a cross-road, facing a make or break situation. However, he said the nation is confident that it will win the war against terrorism.

“We are proud of the counter-terrorism force, which is playing an effective role in countering terrorism,” Shahbaz said.

Earlier, the anti-terrorism force took oath of their responsibilities. Besides men, women were also included in this batch of the anti-terrorism force.
