WELLINGTON: South Africa will face United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a Pool B match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Thursday.

The match is scheduled to begin at 06:00 am as per Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

It will be South Africa’s last match of pool stage and after an expected easy win against UAE on Thursday, AB de Villiers-led side will likely play their quarter-final match against Sri Lanka at Sydney.

On the other hand, UAE have still two games remaining in the tournament. However, they are already out of the race for quarter-finals after losing all their previous four matches.

Sri Lanka beat Scotland by 148 runs

Earlier, in the 35th match of the Cricket World Cup, Sri Lanka comfortably beat Scotland by 148 runs at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Wednesday.

While batting first, Sri Lanka scored 363 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Kumar Sangakkara scored 124 runs off just 95 balls, becoming the first batsman to hit four consecutive one-day centuries.

Tillakaratne Dilshan also scored second consecutive century during the mega event as he made 104 runs off just 99 balls.

In reply to Sri Lanka’s 363 runs, Scotland were all out for 215 in 43.1 overs.
