Geo prepares list for sacking more 700 employeesKarachi: The Independent Media Corporation of Geo and Jang group of publication has prepared lists of employees to sack them next month, sources claim.

According to sources, a list of above 700 employees is ready to pay them off from organization and new team has already been hired but not officially disclosed by the organization. News department will face maximum changes in Karachi and Islamabad.

According to sources in Karachi, the majority of employees on “Right sizing” list include technical staff like cameramen, NLEs and field reporters.

Geo will start new Current Affairs shows and new programming has already been prepared.

It may be mentioned that Geo TV sacked around 700 employees during year 2012-2013 to hire some expensive anchors and team heads.
