PESHAWAR, Pakistan: A four-day polio campaign began in tribal regions on Monday, during which a total of 712,604 children would be administered polio drops.
However, according to a senior campaign official Ikhtiar Ali, another 288,708 children would miss the polio drops because of threats from the militants.
The official said that children in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, some areas of Khyber tribal district and Bannu Frontier Region would not be given polio drops because of security problems.
