KARACHI: At least seven dead bodies were recovered from a cold storage at the Karachi airport in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The official sources said that the dead bodies were badly burnt and shifted to Jinnah Hospital from where they will be handed over to the heirs after identification.

The sources further said rescue operation at the cold storage continued for more than 27 hours during which the volunteers faced immense difficulty due to fire, intense heat and rubble all over the place.

These seven people were employees of a private cargo company and had taken refuge in the cold storage after the attack on the airport on Sunday night.
