Parliamentarians demand strict action against Jamshed Dasti

ISLAMABAD: A privilege motion was submitted in the National assembly secretariat on Wednesday against Jamshed Dasti, an independent lawmaker from Muzaffargarh, in connection with his allegations about immoral activities at the parliament lodges.

The privilege motion submitted by nearly 200 parliamentarians demanded a strict action against Jamshed Dasti, saying that the lawmaker had defamed parliamentarians including female MNAs by accusing them of engaging in immoral activities in the lodges.

In February, in his address during the national assembly session Jamshed Dasti alleged that a number of parliamentarians were involved in immoral activities at the parliament lodges.

Dasti alleged that girls were brought in the parliament lodges for mujra, adding that the lodges had become a den of immoral activities as liquor worth Rs40 million to Rs50m was supplied there and the odour of liquor as well as charas was pervasive.
