Kerry likely to visit Pakistan soon: US state department

WASHINGTON: The US Secretary of State John Kerry is likely to visit Pakistan shortly, the State Department said.

In a statement the US state department spokesperson Jen Psaki said in Washington that Secretary of State John Kerry is likely to visit Pakistan shortly as she was referring to ongoing US engagement with Pakistan including strategic dialogue.

The state department spokesperson said that her country is working closely with Pakistan towards regional peace and stability.

Psaki further said that the US has vital shared strategic interest with Pakistan to end terrorism and pursue a peaceful‚ stable and prosperous region.
