Muzafarabad: Land slide near Kamsar kills Deputy Commissioner Nelam Raja Saqib. He was a young and energetic officer and Deputy Commissioner of most troubled sector of line of control.

Raja Saqib Munir Khan was a a senior DMG officer of the AJK government.  Reports said that Deputy Commissioner Raja Munir Saqib was going to his office in Neelum district from Muzaffarabad when he came under the landslide near the district. He was killed on the spot while his driver has been shifted to hospital in a critical condition. It may be noted that during and after rain and snowfall, especially in early spring, landsliding and snow avalanches are very common in the area.

As the news of the death of the DC spread in AJK, the state government announced a public holiday to mourn the death. The body of the DC had not been recovered.
