Honolulu, USA:  Applications are open for 2014 – 2015 Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) fellowship competition.

APLP is a signature program of the East-West Center. The program involves 4.5 months of intensive work in Honolulu and a highly flexible 4.5 month practicum that provides participants with a wide range of options during their second semester. Substantial scholarship funding is available and the deadline for candidates applying for scholarships is 1 December 2013. Applications completed after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Basic application requirements are strong English language skills and at least a 4-year undergraduate degree or international equivalent. While an advanced degree is not required, more than half of APLP participants hold an advanced degree. The age range of the group is generally from mid-20s to mid-40s. Each group has approximately 30 members that represent 15 to 20 countries and a wide range of professional and academic backgrounds. The APLP network includes alumni from 53 countries that increasingly occupy key positions throughout Asia-Pacific.

Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
