ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in their separate messages on the occasion have stressed the need to imbibe the spirit of September 6 this year as the country is confronted with external and internal threats.
In his message‚ the President Asif Ali Zardari said the defence day gives an abiding lesson to the nation that no aggression can succeed as long as the people are united fighting for the cause and our brave soldiers are standing ready to guard our frontiers and shed blood for it.
In his message‚ the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the defence day helps us in reinvigorating the spirit of patriotism as the country is facing multiple security challenges in shape of extremism‚ terrorism and external aggression.
PM Nawaz Sharif said the entire nation stands alongside our defence forces to thwart all evil designs of enemies of Pakistan.
