DERA ISMAIL KHAN/JHAL MAGSI: Flashflood has smashed over 300 homes in different parts of Dera Ismail Khan and inundated over 50 villages in District Jhal Magsi of Balochistan.

Stormy flood has wreaked havoc in District Haroonabad of Dera Ismail Khan where over 300 houses, many key roads, hundreds of hectares ready crops, and millions of rupees belongings have been devastated.

Deprived and ruined residents are leaving the area empty handed to get some relief from the authorities and take refuge in other safe areas.

Provincial Law Minister has blamed Gomalzam Dam of this devastation in Dera Ismail Khan.

At the other hand, rainwater has flooded over 50 villages in District Jhal Magsi of Balochistan province while stormy flood waves have breached many dikes of River Maula in Jhal Magsi and Khuzdar.

Many mud houses have collapsed and many more have been endangered by the floodwater; local residents are waiting helplessly for relief and rescue from the provincial regime.

The District Administration have moved heavy earth moving machinery in the flood hit area but vastly spread flood water will take some time in draining out.
