Press Release: H.E. Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, is participating in the XVI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, held from April 21 to 24, 2026 in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia.
This year’s forum, titled “Eurasian Synergy: Unity of the Peoples of Russia in an Era of Global Change,” focuses on world economics, youth entrepreneurship, and information technology.
During the forum, Ambassador Tirmizi addressed the delegates of the XVI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum at a meeting with participation of the First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region.
As part of his visit, Ambassador Tirmizi delivered a guest lecture to the students from Central Asian and South Asian countries enrolled at the Ural State University of Economics. His presentation, titled “Pakistan-Russia Relations and the Framework of Eurasian Connectivity,” highlighted Pakistan’s strategic role in regional connectivity and economic integration and the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of global trade and diplomacy.
Ambassador Tirmizi also discussed with young diplomats and students participating in XVI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum about the current geopolitics and Pakistan’s active role in diffusing Middle East crisis which has impacted every life on the planet.
The XVI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum serves as a platform for young leaders and professionals to discuss global economic challenges. This year, the event has brought together over 24,000 participants from 117 countries, including more than 90 members of the diplomatic corps and over 500 international experts.
