ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has welcomed the ‘Declaration of Unity’ by the Palestinian political factions in Beijing.

“We recognize and commend China’s role in bringing the factions together for meaningful negotiations,” the Spokespersons of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said on Thursday.

The Spokesperson said that unity amongst the Palestinian people is of paramount significance in the wake of the ongoing war crimes against the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, and the blatant disregard for international norms by the Israeli occupation forces.

Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan once again calls upon the international community to intervene immediately to stop the ongoing illegal and incessant aggression in Gaza.

“We also reiterate support for the realization of the inalienable right to self-determination of the Palestinian people, their right of return to Palestine and establishment of an independent homeland for the Palestinians, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its Capital,” she added.
