DUBAI, UAE: The Second Edition of Pakistan Mango Festival was organised in Dubai at the Pakistan Association Dubai in Oud Metha on July 6, 2024, showcasing several varieties of mangoes.
Organized by the Pakistan Association Dubai in collaboration with the Pakistan Business Council and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, the event was attended by a large number of guests including diplomats, dignitaries, prominent members of the Pakistani community, and government officials.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) remarked at the event that “Mango festival is always a great event. Mangoes are indigenous to the Indus Valley civilisation and they’re our identity.”
Thanking the participants for attending the festival, the ambassador said that presence of so many people was testimony of this special fruit which is eagerly awaited in summer.
Ambassador Faisal Tirmizi advised Pakistani expats to come to the festival with friends from other nationalities so they, too, can experience the “hospitality, sweetness, and openness” of the South Asian nation.
In his address, the Consul General Hussain Muhammad said that Pakistani mangoes are deeply rooted in our culture and heritage and is a symbol of our hospitality and tradition.
