EuropeUK‚ Western countries to enhance aid to Syrian rebels

LONDON: Britain and other Western countries have decided to enhance supply of aid to areas under the control of rebels in Syria.

Speaking in the parliament‚ the British Foreign Secretary William Hague said his country will also send instructors to train doctors from among the Syrian opposition and experts in the field of human rights protection.

Hague justifies this as a necessary action “to document evidence of sexual violence” against the civilian population.

The minister also confirmed that the United Kingdom has not yet made a decision on the supply of arms to the Syrian opposition, and believes that the problem can be solved effectively by political means.

The Minister also stated the importance of a full investigation by the UN into the facts of the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
