ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan H.E. Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy called on Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Monday.
The prime minister thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for their kind wishes on his re-election as Prime Minister.
Given the special fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the prime minister said that the Saudi ambassador was the first envoy he was receiving after assumption of office.
The prime minister highlighted that his government’s priority would be to transform the time-tested bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia into a mutually beneficial, strategic and economic partnership with a focus on attracting Saudi investment for bankable projects in Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif thanked the Saudi authorities for expanding the scope of the “Road to Makkah” initiative which will facilitate Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.
While extending an invitation to the prime minister to visit Saudi Arabia, the Saudi ambassador assured Shahbaz Sharif of the Saudi leadership’s full support.
The envoy said that Saudi Arabia would always remain a reliable partner for building a stronger and prosperous Pakistan.
