Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reached Gwadar on Tuesday on his first visit after assuming the Office of Prime Minister.
During the flight, the prime minister was briefed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lt. General Inam Haider Malik on the damages caused by the recent stormy rains in Gwadar and South Balochistan and the ongoing relief operations.
The prime minister was also given a detailed briefing on the damage and measures to help the victims in other areas of the Country.
The prime minister directed to devise a system for early detection of natural calamities through modern technology and satellites. He also directed that an early report on the restoration of affected communication infrastructure and detailed assessment of damage to private property should be submitted.
Shahbaz Sharif directed that a comprehensive plan should be prepared and presented for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims of the recent stormy rains. He added that no effort should be spared in rescuing and helping the victims.
During his visit, he will meet the victims of stormy rains. He will also distribute relief items among affected families residing in the relief camp.
